Terms of Service

Last updated: August 12, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your access to Argus, a Meta ad comment protection service for brands and agencies. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Argus, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.

If you use Argus for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms.

The Service

Argus connects to selected Instagram and Facebook assets, reviews ad comments, classifies risk and intent, hides harmful comments when configured, drafts replies, routes comments for human review, and shows workspace reporting.

Features may change as platform APIs, permissions, and product capabilities evolve. We may change preview, beta, and non-core features. If we materially reduce a core paid feature during a prepaid billing period, we will provide reasonable notice and an appropriate remedy where required. A preview feature is not guaranteed to remain available.

Accounts and Permissions

You are responsible for keeping your login secure, controlling who has workspace access, and ensuring you have authority to connect Meta accounts, pages, ad accounts, and Instagram accounts to Argus.

You must provide accurate account and billing information, promptly update material changes, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account until you notify us and we have a reasonable opportunity to respond.

Customer Data

As between you and Argus, you retain the rights you have in the brand, workspace, Meta, rule, knowledge, comment, and other data you provide or authorize Argus to process. You grant Argus a limited right to host, copy, transmit, modify, and otherwise process that data as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and support the service. Argus may use aggregated or deidentified service telemetry, together with feedback you provide, to understand and improve the service.

You are responsible for having all notices, permissions, and lawful bases needed for Argus to process Customer Data on your behalf. You must not submit data that Argus is not designed to handle, including payment card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, or regulated health information.

Platform Rules and Connected Accounts

Your use of Meta products remains subject to Meta's terms, policies, permissions, and technical limits. You authorize Argus to make API requests and moderation actions on your behalf only for the assets and permissions you connect.

You are responsible for ensuring your moderation rules and replies comply with applicable law, platform policies, consumer protection requirements, and your own commitments to customers. Argus may refuse or stop an action that appears unauthorized, unsafe, or inconsistent with platform requirements.

Automation and AI Output

Argus includes automation and AI-assisted features. You are responsible for selecting appropriate automation settings, reviewing outputs where needed, and deciding whether generated replies are suitable for public use. AI outputs can be incomplete or incorrect.

Automated hiding and reply features can affect public customer conversations. You are responsible for configuring protection levels, knowledge, guardrails, and approval settings for your business. You should keep human review enabled for complaints, legal or safety issues, sensitive claims, refunds, and other high-risk content.

Acceptable Use

Do not use Argus to violate platform rules, break the law, infringe rights, send deceptive replies, process data you are not allowed to process, interfere with the service, or bypass security controls.

You must not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, probe for vulnerabilities without written authorization, overload the service, introduce malicious code, resell or sublicense the service except as your plan permits, impersonate another person, or use Argus to create spam, harassment, discrimination, or unlawful automated decisions.

Plans and Billing

Paid plans are processed through Stripe. Prices, taxes, billing intervals, plan limits, and seller or payment details shown at checkout control your purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing period until canceled. You authorize the applicable seller and payment processor to charge the payment method on file for recurring fees and taxes.

You can cancel through the billing portal before the next renewal. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period. Except where checkout terms state otherwise or applicable law requires, fees already paid are nonrefundable. We may change future pricing or plan limits with advance notice, and changes will generally apply at a later renewal.

Ownership and Feedback

Argus and its licensors own the service, software, design, documentation, and related intellectual property, excluding Customer Data. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your active subscription and in accordance with your plan.

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you allow Argus to use them without restriction or payment, but we will not publicly identify you as the source without permission.

Third-Party Services

Argus depends on third-party services, including Meta, Stripe, Clerk, hosting, database, analytics, and AI providers. Their availability, permissions, policies, or API changes may affect the service.

Argus is not responsible for third-party services, accounts, or content. If a connected provider suspends access, changes its API, or removes a permission, affected Argus features may be limited or unavailable.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Argus and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay amounts due, misuse connected-platform permissions, or if a third-party platform prevents us from providing the service.

When access ends, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective, including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits. Data handling after termination is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Service Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Argus is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee that every harmful comment will be detected, that every reply will be correct, or that Meta APIs will always be available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, particular business results, increased advertising performance, or that the service will meet every legal or platform requirement for your business.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Argus and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, revenue, or business opportunity arising from the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Argus and its suppliers for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid for Argus during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

General Terms

These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any checkout terms that apply to your purchase form the entire agreement between you and Argus about the service and replace earlier agreements about the same subject. If checkout terms conflict with these Terms, the checkout terms control only for that purchase.

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms here and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when required. Continuing to use Argus after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
